Due to ongoing issues at Royal Mail sorting depots, there are currently delays with some residents receiving their permits. Please take your proof of address to site with you and the team will be able to grant you access until your permit arrives.
Soil improver is now available to Wakefield residents from all of the Household Waste Recycling Centres, subject to availability. Please bring your own bag.

Hypodermic Needles

Hypodermic needles are not permitted to be disposed of at the Recycling Centres or in any of your household bins. Please return used hypodermic needles to your doctor’s surgery, health centre or issuing pharmacy for safe disposal. Alternatively Wakefield Council offer a Clinical Waste Collection service and this can be arranged through your Doctors surgery or by calling Wakefield Council direct on 0345 8 506 506
