Our Schemes

Real Nappies

04 May 2021

This is a Wakefield Council sponsored trial run in Partnership with Renewi.

This service should only be requested by the parent/guardian of the child and should be requested once the child has been born.

A birth certificate and proof of residency will be required when the nappy trial pack is collected. By participating in the real nappy scheme you agree to being contacted within 3 months of receiving your free nappy pack for feedback on the product.

A click and collect service will be in operation for the Real Nappies Scheme. Once you have selected your collection point, a member of the Education team will be in contact with you to arrange a time and date for the collection of your Real Nappies trial pack.

When filling out the application, you will need to choose from one of the following collection points:

  • Castleford Library (Closed Wednesdays and Sundays)
  • Pontefract library (Closed Thursdays and Sundays)
  • Wakefield library (Closed Sundays)

You can apply for the real nappies scheme, if your child is 0-12 months. Please allow five working days before collecting your real nappies trial pack, this will allow your application to be processed.
