Lithium Ion batteries are rechargeable batteries such as those found in mobile phones and cordless vacuum cleaners. These batteries must be taken to your nearest HWRC for recycling, some Bring Site locations or any Council run library across the district. They MUST NOT be placed in any kerbside bin as they pose a serious fire risk in our collection vehicles and at our waste processing site and put the safety of our staff at risk.
